The Ragin’ Cajun

They are smiling because they are about to whip your ass, Cajun Style.

Kirt Brasseaux started training in Judo/Jiu-Jitsu in Louisiana in 2005.  He has been a strong competitor in Judo and active supporter of his children’s Judo, Wrestling and other sports endeavors while they were growing up.  Kirt cross-trained with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu clubs at times when his career prevented him from attending regular Judo classes.  Kirt began visiting Dallas in early 2014 and quickly became a valued member of The Judokai upon relocation to the DFW area shortly thereafter.

The Rajin’ Cajun is strong, mean, and scary as hell — and so is that old 1980s roller coaster from Pontchartrain Beach.

Kirt was the 2006 Outstanding Shiai Competitor for the State of Louisiana and is currently The Judokai’s Fight Club Masters champion with 6 wins by Ippon.  On top of it all, Kirt Brasseaux recently won the 2016 AAU Freestyle Judo Masters National Championship.

Kirt Brasseaux was promoted to Shodan, 1st Degree Black Belt, by Vincente D’Ingianni on May 21st 2016 and is now the Head Coach of The Judokai at Pecan Plantation in Granbury, Texas (granbury.judokai.net).

Kirt Brasseaux has credentials recognized in all major United States Judo organizations.  He is a member of the United States Judo Association (USJA) and he is a active supporter of the International Freestyle Judo Alliance (IFJA) / AAU Judo.
