Insurance and Ranking from National Organizations

The Judokai requires all members to maintain membership with at least one of the major national Judo governing bodies for insurance purposes.

The Judokai is a chartered club under both AAU Judo and the United States Judo Association.  The Judokai recommends joining one the following Judo national governing bodies;

AAU – $29/year adults, $16/year youth – Coverage Details – $50/yearly, $30/yearly Sustaining Life Membership, – Coverage Details

If students, or visitors, wish to participate in our Fight Club Freestyle Judo events, then an AAU Judo membership is required.

Visitors and members may participate in practice and activities with up-to-date memberships in either USA JudoUnited States Judo Federation (USJF), or any major international Judo organization unless The Judokai is holding the event exclusively for a specific organization.

All members and visitors acknowledge that they have elected to voluntarily participate in activities sponsored by The Judokai and understand that there is a risk of injury, loss, and/or damage involved in participation in these activities.

By stepping on our mats to participate our activities, all members and visitors shall release and indemnify The Judokai their parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and successors, as well as their officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any and all rights, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising as a result of direct or indirect participation in these activities.

The Judokai acknowledges ranking from all major national and international Judo organizations including the International Freestyle Judo Alliance.

Visiting Judo Black Belts are reminded that The Judokai has designated coaches who are in charge of running class.  We look forward to learning from everyone.

That’s the way it ought to be.
